Team Nigeria land Safely In Rio

Team Nigeria have arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday ahead of the kick off of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil, Punch reports.

The major batch of the athletes hit the Brazilian city at midday as confirmed by the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali.

“Arrived Rio via Sao Paolo hours ago. Team has gone for accreditation at athletes village. Me checked into hotel.” He confirmed their arrival via his Twitter handle in words and photographs.

Nigeria’s football team led by Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel will kick start the country’s campaign in Brazil with a game against Japan on Thursday. The Dream Team were scheduled to leave Atlanta where they have been training for Rio on Tuesday night.
