FG Reveals How Many Sim Cards That Can Be Linked To One NIN Number

The federal government has revealed that Nigerians can link up to seven SIM cards to one National Identification Number on the National Identity Management Commission Mobile App. This was disclosed on Friday, January 8, by the minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, Punch reports. He said: "You will be able to link up to seven SIM numbers to only one. I have already downloaded the app, launched the app, and already linked some of my numbers immediately. This is part of digitalisation." Pantami said the ministry, NIMC and telecommunication operators would review the entire NIN linkage to SIM cards by network users if fresh lockdown is imposed in the country. Meanwhile, he said enrolment for the National Identification Number (NIN) should not consume the time of the applicants. LG Chairman Dies At 49

Chairman of Gummi Local Government Council of Zamfara, Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad, is dead.
Special Adviser to the state governor on Media, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, confirmed the death to newsmen on Monday in Sokoto.

died at the age of 49, on Sunday at the Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, after a protracted illness.
The local council Information Officer, Malam Abubakar Umar, also told newsmen that the late chairman left behind one wife and seven children.
Umar said Muhammad has been buried according to Islamic rites at his home town Gummi, the headquarters of Gummi local government area on Monday.
The burial was attended by top government officials of the state.
The news came one week after the caretaker committee chairman of Zaki local government area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Muhammad Yalwaji Sakwa, died in a car accident.
