The annual Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) has kicked off its sixth year of cinematic celebration with Nate Parker's "Birth of a Nation."

The star-studded opening night of the film festival held at FilmhouseIMAX Cinema,The Rock Drive off Bisola Durosinmi Etti Drive Lekki, Lagos.
Celebrities spotted at the event include Rita Dominic, OC Ukeje, Lala 'Kemi' Akindoju, Uru Eke, Chioma Ude, Kiki Omeili, Seun Ajayi , James Omokwe, Hilda Dokubo, Michelle Dede, Adesua Etomi, Richard Mofe Damijo, Jay Franklyn Jituboh, Baaj Adebule, Kunle Afolayan, Kate Henshaw, Falz, Lai Mohammed,  Chike Okonkwo, Moses Babatope, Debola Williams, Patrick Doyle, Tope Oshin, Kene Mkparu among others.

 Izu Ojukwu's "76" will close the festival on Friday, November 18, 2016 at FilmhouseIMAX Cinema, Lekki, Lagos. There would be a Festival Party at Boat ClubAwolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, by 10pm.
