Prof. Tunde Wins AEPL Award
The Chairman Governing Council of the College of Education Ijanikin, Prof. Tunde Samuel was recently (29th October, 2016) at the Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Abuja honoured by the African Institute for Leadership Excellence, Organizers of the Annual African Prize for Leadership Excellence, with the 2016 African Education Personality Leadership Award.

pioneer Provost of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Noforija, Epe, Lagos State between 1994 and 2002; a onetime Special Adviser on Education (2003-2007) during the reign of His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State;
a member of the 2014 National Conference, a member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (the Apex Advisory body in the State) and a retired Professor of Political Economics of Education, Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Lagos State.
While receiving the award, Prof Samuel thanked the organizers for honouring him among several millions of Africans and pledged to dedicate his life to better service to humanity. Prof. Samuel was specially identified and honoured by the organizers of the award for his “Leadership Skills and experience, contribution to quality education, his intellectual disposition/strength, present and past educational experience, academic pedigree and service to humanity”.
The African Prize for Leadership Excellence is a prize for excellent leadership experience for some selected African Personalities who have made impact in the development of the African economy through their innovation, creativity and leadership experience in their fields of endeavours.
