Arsenal Makes Club Record Bid On Player

Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has confirmed Arsenal made a club record €65 million (£55.7m) bid for star striker Andrea Belotti.
Petrachi also revealed that the bid was..... swiftly rejected as it did not meet the striker's release clause of €100m (£85.7m).

Belotti has scored 13 league goals for Torino so far this season with Mauro Icardi of Inter Milan on 14 goals the only one to have scored more this season.

"Yes, we received the offer, but it does not reflect the value of the player," Petrachi replied when asked about Arsenal's interest by Sky Italia.
"Anyway, he is going nowhere for now. We want to enjoy him, then we'll see what happens.
"We intend to keep Belotti and president Urbano Cairo signed this important buy-out clause. I think he's worth more than they have offered."
The Gunners have Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez, Lucas Perez and Chuba Akpom as central strikers.
