FG Reveals How Many Sim Cards That Can Be Linked To One NIN Number

The federal government has revealed that Nigerians can link up to seven SIM cards to one National Identification Number on the National Identity Management Commission Mobile App. This was disclosed on Friday, January 8, by the minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, Punch reports. He said: "You will be able to link up to seven SIM numbers to only one. I have already downloaded the app, launched the app, and already linked some of my numbers immediately. This is part of digitalisation." Pantami said the ministry, NIMC and telecommunication operators would review the entire NIN linkage to SIM cards by network users if fresh lockdown is imposed in the country. Meanwhile, he said enrolment for the National Identification Number (NIN) should not consume the time of the applicants. How Pastor Adeboye Became The G.O Of RCCG

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). 



As he turns 75 on Thursday, March 2, there have been several events arranged in the honor of the popular pastor.  


Here are some facts you probably did not know about him:......
1. How he became General Overseer of Redeemed Church
The story is pretty straightforward. After joining the RCCG in 1973, he began working to translate the sermons of its founder and then Pastor, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, from Yoruba into English.

This continues, until 1980, when Papa Akindayomi died and in 1981, pastor Adeboye was appointed General Overseer of the church.
He filled the role part-time for 3 years while still lecturing at Ilorin, until giving up his university position to preach full-time.


2. Where was he born?
Pastor Adeboye was born Enoch Adejare Adeboye on March 2, 1942 in Ifewara, Osun state, Nigeria. He spent most of his early life in Osun state.
3. Early education
Reports have it that Pastor Adeboye had a strong desire to attend school in spite of his poor background.
He was admitted to Ilesha Grammar School, Osun state, Nigeria in 1956. He went on to study at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, (UNN), where he studied mathematics.
4. How he was affected by the Civil war
Due to the ongoing Civil War he had to move to the University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria to continue his education.
He obtained his B.Sc. in Mathematics from UI between 1964-1967 and got his PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Lagos.
5. Academic Career
Adeboye worked as a lecturer in mathematics at the universities of Lagos and Ilorin, before taking up the mantle at Redeemed Church.
A recent regulation in Nigeria by the financial regulations council affecting all registered churches, mosques and Civil Society Organizations was put in place, placing a twenty-year cap on the leadership tenure of these organizations.
Consequently, on January 7, 2017 Pastor J.O. Obayemi was appointed to head the church in Nigeria, while Pastor E. A. Adeboye still remains the General overseer of RCCG globally.
