Taraba State Ex-Governor Is Dead

Dambaba Suntai survived a plane crash in 2012
According to Sahara Reporters, Suntai died in his home while undergoing rehabilitation for brain injuries he sustained from a plane crash.
The plane crash happened in 2012 when a private Cessna 208 aircraft he piloted himself crashed in Yola.
He had been travelling from Jalingo, Taraba's state capital to the Adamawa state capital.
In February, a twitter user, (@Khaleed_Alee), posted pictures of Dantata at what looked like a care home..













Suntai was governor of the Taraba from 2007 till 2015 when he was succeeded by incumbent, Darius Ishaku.
Between the time of the crash and 2015 when Ishaku was elected governor, Garba Umar and, later, Sani Danladi served in Suntai's absence as Acting Governor, with his reluctance to resign from the position causing a political storm in the state.
A former commissioner of information in the state, Emmanuel Bello confirmed the news of his demise to SaharaReporters.
