The PDP, through the chairman of its Board of Trustees (BoT) Senator Walid Jibrin, on Sunday, August 17, urged all aspirants in the party to remain law-abiding throughout the primaries and the election proper, Daily Trust reports.

Jibrin said that the choosing of candidates by god-fathers instead of through polls is capable of bringing down any political party, adding that the PDP is bent on winning the election in Bayelsa and reclaiming power in Kogi.

He said that in order to win the election in both states, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP is doing everything possible to ensure that there is no impunity, godfatherism and lawlessness.

“All our aspirants in the two states must eschew bitterness so that we will produce the two governors that we will be proud of.
