Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, embattled and suspended head of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused Rivers state politician, Victor Giadom, of a plot to kill the party.

The Nation quoted Oshiomhole as making the allegation in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city, saying that Giadom was targeting destroying the APC at the national level the way the latter's group allegedly ruined the party.

The report quoted the Oshiomhole as claiming that Giadom was ready to scatter the APC the way his group allegedly ruined the APC in Rivers state while the country prepared for the 2019 general elections.

Oshiomhole reportedly added that the same Giadom now jostling for the position of national chairman, had stopped being a member of the National Working Committee (NWC).

According to him, even if he was still in the NWC, there was no way he could have emerged as the national chairman since he was then a deputy national secretary and had other ranking members ahead of him.

To Oshiomhole, it is simply common sense to know that once the chairman is absent, his position should be filled by his deputy, and where the latter is not available, the vice-chairman should take up the mantle. He then wondered how the deputy secretary would think he can by-pass top officials to take the position. He noted that the party currently has a secretary working late hours to see that the secretariat continues to run.

He said he feels that Giadom, whom he called his brother, wants to take the party through the route of Rivers state where he and others created so much problem. Ize-Iyamu betrayed us as consensus candidate - Ogiemwonyi
