According to CelebrityNetWorth, Zhang with a net worth of $44 billion announced on Monday, May 24, in an official letter to his employees, said he lacked some skills that’d make him an ideal manager. "The truth is, I lack some of the skills that make an ideal manager. Similarly, I'm not very social, preferring solitary activities like being online, reading, listening to music, and daydreaming about what may be possible.,” he said. The governor said this over the weekend at his country home, Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, shortly after inspecting the Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport at Umueri. He explained that after his tax has been deducted from his salary, he sends the balance to homes of the destitute for their upkeep. He added that he has been working for the state for free. Obiano, who also described himself as "a man of classical quality" , said the Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport was built with the best of facilities, same as those in any international airport of repute.

NCC - Nigerians To Submit Phone IDs In Three Months

The Nigerian Communications Commission has said Nigerians will have to submit the International Mobile Equipment Identity of their phones to it from July. According to NCC, the aim is “to curtail the counterfeit mobile phone market, discourage mobile phone theft, enhance National Security, protect consumer interest, increase revenue generation for the government, reduce the rate of kidnapping, mitigate the use of stolen phones for crime, and facilitate blocking or tracing of stolen mobile phones and other smart devices, one of the means to achieve this is through the deployment of Device Management System.” With this move, the NCC will have the IMEI numbers, NIN, and mobile numbers of every Nigerian.

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Senate to approve a new external loan of N2,343,387,942,848.00, about $6.183billion, for the Federal Government to finance the 2021 budget deficit. Senate President Ahmad Lawan read Buhari’s letter of request on the floor of the Senate at plenary, on Tuesday, May 18. Buhari said the proposed loan which is equivalent to N2.3trillion is to finance the 2021 budget deficit of N5.6 trillion. He said the loan would enable the Federal Government to fund critical infrastructural projects in transportation, health, and education among others.

The Federal Government says it has received the £4.2m funds looted by the former governor of Delta State James Ibori. Speaking in a statement on Tuesday, May 18, Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, said that a total of £4,214,017.66 of the loot associated with the family members of former Delta State governor has been received. According to the statement, the amount was credited into the designated the Nigerian Government account with naira equivalent value of the amount as May 10, 2021. Malami had in March signed Memorandum of Understanding for the repatriation of the Ibori loot on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Governor Abiodun Suspends Aide Arrested In The US For $350k Unemployment Benefit Fraud

The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, has suspended his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Special Duties, Abidemi Rufai, following his arrest in New York by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over his alleged involvement in $350,000 unemployment benefits fraud. The United States Department of Justice on Monday, May 17, announced Rufai's arrest. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, Governor Abiodun said the news of his aide’s involvement in fraud is disturbing. The statement reads: “We received the very disturbing news of the arrest of one of the governor’s political appointees, Mr Abidemi Rufai in New York over alleged unemployment benefits and fraud in the United States, this morning. While the Governor cannot be held responsible for the actions of a full grown adult, especially outside the jurisdiction of Ogun and Nigeria, he has since suspended the suspect from office to enable him answer the charges levelled against him.
